Expanding cooperation in the field of hydrometeorology is an indispensable need for development. The Conference of Development Partners of the KTTV industry in Vietnam, held by the General Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (KTTV) in collaboration with the World Bank (World Bank), took place on the afternoon of September 18, in Hanoi, an opportunity to Development partners, investors and Sectors of the industry will discuss, discuss and seek cooperation opportunities.

On 27-29^th November 2019, In Bangkok, Thailand, a Seminar on “Hydro Software to support policy development and real-time decision making” and 2-day software introduction have been organized by Stitching Deltares, Netherlands. The event has attracted the participation of many countries in the region such as Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.

In August 20-24, 2019, CEFD, cooperating with Stitching Deltares, the Netherlands as technical support, has successfully implemented a basic configuration course on Automatic Salinity forecasting and Water Quality Monitoring system (ASWQM) for Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces, Mekong Delta. This activity is within the framework of the Mekong Delta Climate Change Adaptation Project (AMD) in Ben Tre and Tra Vinh provinces, Vietnam, funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD). Ms. Tran Thanh Huyen and Ms. Nguyen Kim Ngoc Anh from CEFD has supported Mr. Bas Stengs from Deltares for installing the Salinity Forecasting System on the Delft-FEWS platform (FEWS-AMD) and 5 days of training the Delft-FEWS-AMD Knowledge Platform.

From 06/09 to 08/09, CEFD researchers join The Deltares Software Days South-East Asia – Edition 2018, which was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

On August 13, 2018, the Professional training course on “Decision Support Tools (DSTs) for Integrated Water Resources Management in the context of Climate Change” and “Sustainable Urban Drainage systems SUDs” was organized by VNU University of Science (HUS). The opening ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Tien Giang, Vice Rector of VNU University of Science; Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Tam, representative of the project management team “Capacity Building Support” (FCB Project – Facility to Capacity Building) and more than 20 trainees from HUS.
